# Heads up! vs CountX

The clearest difference is price: CountX at Free against Heads up!'s $0.99. CountX also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months). Heads up!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On device support there is nothing between them.

CountX is free to download; Heads up! costs $0.99 up front. CountX sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Heads up! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Heads up! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CountX has 86 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Heads up!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of CountX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Heads up! ships an update every 9 months, CountX fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
