# FRW vs SMART Recovery

The clearest difference is rating: FRW at 5.0 against SMART Recovery's 4.1. SMART Recovery's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FRW holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMART Recovery has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FRW ships an update every 5 months, SMART Recovery monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
