# BuddyColo vs ChroMuse

BuddyColo and ChroMuse both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ChroMuse's written reviews are positive against 47% of BuddyColo's. ChroMuse also leads on ads (none vs shown). BuddyColo's advantage is ratings volume (90 vs 7). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BuddyColo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and ChroMuse sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for BuddyColo against 4.3 for ChroMuse. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BuddyColo has 90 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of BuddyColo's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChroMuse's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
