# Fighter Pilot vs Airplane Avoidance

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Airplane Avoidance at 100% against Fighter Pilot's 48%. Airplane Avoidance also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Fighter Pilot's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (3K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fighter Pilot sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Airplane Avoidance asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fighter Pilot holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fighter Pilot has 3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Fighter Pilot's written reviews are positive against 100% of Airplane Avoidance's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fighter Pilot ships an update every 2 months, Airplane Avoidance every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
