# ISC2 Official Exam Prep vs Skillweed Academy

The clearest difference is rating: Skillweed Academy at 5.0 against ISC2 Official Exam Prep's 4.4. Skillweed Academy also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). ISC2 Official Exam Prep's advantage is ratings volume (443 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ISC2 Official Exam Prep sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Skillweed Academy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skillweed Academy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ISC2 Official Exam Prep has 443 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ISC2 Official Exam Prep ships an update every 3 weeks, Skillweed Academy every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
