# GPS Orienteering vs RecordTime

The clearest difference is update cadence: RecordTime at every 3 days against GPS Orienteering's monthly. GPS Orienteering's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Orienteering sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and RecordTime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GPS Orienteering ships an update monthly, RecordTime every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
