# Happier vs TrueHands

The clearest difference is rating: TrueHands at 5.0 against Happier's 3.9. Happier's advantage is ratings volume (57 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Happier sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and TrueHands sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TrueHands holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Happier has 57 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Happier ships an update every 4 weeks, TrueHands every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
