# Thiro vs focus

The clearest difference is rating: Thiro at 4.8 against focus's 4.0. Thiro also leads on ratings volume (49 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). focus's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thiro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and focus sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Thiro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thiro has 49 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Thiro's written reviews are positive against 100% of focus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thiro ships an update every 5 weeks, focus every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on August 28, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
