# CMX Cinemas vs The Paddock App

The clearest difference is update cadence: The Paddock App at every 6 days against CMX Cinemas's every 5 weeks. The Paddock App also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). CMX Cinemas's advantage is ratings volume (7K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Paddock App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CMX Cinemas has 7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CMX Cinemas ships an update every 5 weeks, The Paddock App every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
