# FaceX vs MakeToon

The clearest difference is update cadence: MakeToon at every 4 days against FaceX's every 3 weeks. FaceX's advantage is iOS requirement (13 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FaceX sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and MakeToon sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FaceX ships an update every 3 weeks, MakeToon every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
