# MemoryMaps vs Lovup

The clearest difference is monetization model: MemoryMaps at ad-supported against Lovup's freemium. MemoryMaps also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MemoryMaps sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Lovup sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for MemoryMaps against 5.0 for Lovup. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MemoryMaps has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

MemoryMaps ships an update every 9 days, Lovup weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
