# hearIQ vs Ceretone Hearing

The clearest difference is rating: hearIQ at 4.9 against Ceretone Hearing's 4.4. hearIQ also leads on ratings volume (331 vs 8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Ceretone Hearing's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 88%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

hearIQ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: hearIQ has 331 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of hearIQ's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ceretone Hearing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

hearIQ ships an update fortnightly, Ceretone Hearing every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
