# Dash vs Ambly

The clearest difference is rating: Ambly at 5.0 against Dash's 3.4. Ambly also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 9 days). Dash's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dash sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ambly sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ambly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dash has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of Dash's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ambly's.

Dash ships an update every 9 days, Ambly every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
