# Untangle 3D! vs Tangle Craze

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Untangle 3D! at none against Tangle Craze's 10. Untangle 3D! also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (800 vs 126). Tangle Craze's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tangle Craze sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Untangle 3D! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tangle Craze holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Untangle 3D! has 800 ratings behind it against 126, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Untangle 3D!'s written reviews are positive against 13% of Tangle Craze's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Untangle 3D! ships an update fortnightly, Tangle Craze every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
