# AMAC vs MxM News

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AMAC at none against MxM News's 2. MxM News's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and chart position (#171 vs unranked). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MxM News sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. AMAC asks for nothing beyond the download.

AMAC holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 719 and 1.4K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of AMAC's written reviews are positive against 60% of MxM News's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AMAC ships an update every 5 months, MxM News monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
