# LGND vs EdgeTec Hooks

The clearest difference is monetization model: EdgeTec Hooks at free against LGND's free with in-app purchases. LGND's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 11) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for LGND against 4.9 for EdgeTec Hooks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LGND has 12K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LGND ships an update every 3 weeks, EdgeTec Hooks every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
