# BDT vs Atomic

The clearest difference is price: Atomic at Free against BDT's $4.99. Atomic also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 36 months) and ratings volume (34 vs 3). BDT's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On rating, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Atomic is free to download; BDT costs $4.99 up front. Atomic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BDT asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BDT against 4.9 for Atomic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Atomic has 34 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of BDT's written reviews are positive against 90% of Atomic's.

BDT ships an update every 36 months, Atomic every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
