# Coloring Magic vs Coloring Book

The clearest difference is rating: Coloring Book at 4.6 against Coloring Magic's 4.0. Coloring Magic's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 47%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coloring Magic sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Coloring Book sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coloring Book holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 629 and 679 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Coloring Magic's written reviews are positive against 47% of Coloring Book's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Coloring Magic ships an update every 9 days, Coloring Book monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
