# word_salad vs skippodisk

The clearest difference is update cadence: skippodisk at every 2 weeks against word_salad's every 55 months. skippodisk also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

skippodisk holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of word_salad's written reviews are positive against 80% of skippodisk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

word_salad ships an update every 55 months, skippodisk every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
