# Blue Box Simulator vs BM Ringside

The clearest difference is monetization model: Blue Box Simulator at free with in-app purchases against BM Ringside's subscription. Blue Box Simulator also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 56%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). BM Ringside's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 111). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blue Box Simulator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and BM Ringside sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Blue Box Simulator against 4.7 for BM Ringside. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BM Ringside has 1.5K ratings behind it against 111, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of Blue Box Simulator's written reviews are positive against 56% of BM Ringside's.

Blue Box Simulator ships an update every 2 weeks, BM Ringside weekly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
