# Obsidian vs Notion Calendar

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Obsidian at 62% against Notion Calendar's 39%. Obsidian also leads on chart position (#131 vs unranked). Notion Calendar's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Notion Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.8K and 7.7K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Obsidian's written reviews are positive against 39% of Notion Calendar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Obsidian ships an update every 3 weeks, Notion Calendar fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
