# Obsidian vs SynoSync

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SynoSync at 100% against Obsidian's 62%. SynoSync also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Obsidian's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SynoSync sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Obsidian asks for nothing beyond the download.

SynoSync holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Obsidian has 2.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
