# Clear Wave vs SAUL

The clearest difference is rating: SAUL at 5.0 against Clear Wave's 4.6. SAUL also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Clear Wave's advantage is ratings volume (37K vs 4) and chart position (#26 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clear Wave sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and SAUL sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SAUL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clear Wave has 37K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Clear Wave ships an update every 3 weeks, SAUL every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
