# DanStream vs Dancetime

The clearest difference is monetization model: Dancetime at free against DanStream's free with in-app purchases. Dancetime also leads on ratings volume (101 vs 2) and review sentiment (84% vs 67%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DanStream sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.49 per month and Dancetime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dancetime holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dancetime has 101 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of DanStream's written reviews are positive against 84% of Dancetime's.

DanStream ships an update every 6 weeks, Dancetime every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
