# BlueHopper vs Lighting BOSS PRO

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lighting BOSS PRO at 100% against BlueHopper's 77%. Lighting BOSS PRO also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). BlueHopper's advantage is ratings volume (387 vs 8) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BlueHopper holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlueHopper has 387 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of BlueHopper's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lighting BOSS PRO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BlueHopper ships an update every 6 weeks, Lighting BOSS PRO every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
