# Thinkific vs GhostBoard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GhostBoard at 100% against Thinkific's 13%. GhostBoard also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Thinkific's advantage is ratings volume (104 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GhostBoard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thinkific has 104 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 13% of Thinkific's written reviews are positive against 100% of GhostBoard's.

Thinkific ships an update weekly, GhostBoard fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
