# BuyNothing vs GZERO

The clearest difference is rating: GZERO at 4.8 against BuyNothing's 4.3. GZERO also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). BuyNothing's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 11) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BuyNothing sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. GZERO asks for nothing beyond the download.

GZERO holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BuyNothing has 2.1K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BuyNothing ships an update every 2 weeks, GZERO weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
