# BuyNothing vs CampusMesh

The clearest difference is rating: CampusMesh at 5.0 against BuyNothing's 4.3. CampusMesh also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). BuyNothing's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 2) and chart position (#193 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BuyNothing sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. CampusMesh asks for nothing beyond the download.

CampusMesh holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BuyNothing has 2.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
