# BuyNothing vs Ruff Hour

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ruff Hour at 100% against BuyNothing's 27%. Ruff Hour also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). BuyNothing's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 1) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BuyNothing sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Ruff Hour asks for nothing beyond the download.

BuyNothing holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BuyNothing has 2.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of BuyNothing's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ruff Hour's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
