# Remote vs NotaryPing

The clearest difference is rating: Remote at 4.2 against NotaryPing's 3.8. Remote also leads on ratings volume (24 vs 5). NotaryPing's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 24 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Remote's written reviews are positive against 67% of NotaryPing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Remote ships an update monthly, NotaryPing fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
