# EpiSim vs Tick Academy™

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tick Academy™ at every 2 months against EpiSim's every 5 months. EpiSim's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EpiSim ships an update every 5 months, Tick Academy™ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
