# Bee Notes vs Beehive Log

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bee Notes at free against Beehive Log's freemium. Bee Notes also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Beehive Log's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bee Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Beehive Log sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bee Notes ships an update monthly, Beehive Log every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
