# Avocards vs Flipside

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flipside at 100% against Avocards's 30%. Flipside also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.3). Avocards's advantage is ratings volume (104 vs 6) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Avocards sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and Flipside sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flipside holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avocards has 104 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 30% of Avocards's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flipside's.

Avocards ships an update every 6 days, Flipside fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
