# Reptile Rocket vs SquishPal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SquishPal at none against Reptile Rocket's 2. SquishPal also leads on ratings volume (612 vs 99). Reptile Rocket's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 54%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reptile Rocket sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. SquishPal asks for nothing beyond the download.

SquishPal holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SquishPal has 612 ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Reptile Rocket's written reviews are positive against 54% of SquishPal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Reptile Rocket ships an update every 5 weeks, SquishPal every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
