# SLYGUARD vs Shadow Node dVPN Lite

The clearest difference is monetization model: Shadow Node dVPN Lite at free against SLYGUARD's free with in-app purchases. Shadow Node dVPN Lite also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). SLYGUARD's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 8).
