# Dissolve vs Scrap Divers

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dissolve at fortnightly against Scrap Divers's every 2 months. Dissolve also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Scrap Divers's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 118). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dissolve sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Scrap Divers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scrap Divers holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scrap Divers has 1.3K ratings behind it against 118, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of Dissolve's written reviews are positive against 94% of Scrap Divers's.

Dissolve ships an update fortnightly, Scrap Divers every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
