# i3DMovieCam vs ProScope Capture

The clearest difference is monetization model: i3DMovieCam at free with in-app purchases against ProScope Capture's subscription. i3DMovieCam also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. i3DMovieCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ProScope Capture sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for i3DMovieCam against 5.0 for ProScope Capture. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i3DMovieCam has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

i3DMovieCam ships an update every 3 weeks, ProScope Capture every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
