# 3D Dice Roller vs Dice Roller!

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dice Roller! at every 3 weeks against 3D Dice Roller's every 4 months. Dice Roller! also leads on ratings volume (9.2K vs 3) and chart position (#131 vs unranked). 3D Dice Roller's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3D Dice Roller sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Dice Roller! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

3D Dice Roller holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dice Roller! has 9.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of 3D Dice Roller's written reviews are positive against 87% of Dice Roller!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

3D Dice Roller ships an update every 4 months, Dice Roller! every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
