# Yakaboo vs UnderBooks

The clearest difference is review sentiment: UnderBooks at 76% against Yakaboo's 23%. UnderBooks also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3). Yakaboo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yakaboo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and UnderBooks sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UnderBooks holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yakaboo has 462 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of Yakaboo's written reviews are positive against 76% of UnderBooks's.

Yakaboo ships an update every 5 days, UnderBooks monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
