# SageIPTV vs Ib Player

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SageIPTV at 83% against Ib Player's 48%. SageIPTV also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Ib Player's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SageIPTV sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Ib Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ib Player holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ib Player has 577 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of SageIPTV's written reviews are positive against 48% of Ib Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SageIPTV ships an update every 2 weeks, Ib Player every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
