# Filebar vs Addons

The clearest difference is rating: Addons at 4.6 against Filebar's 4.3. Filebar's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Filebar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Addons sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Addons holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 350 and 350 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Filebar's written reviews are positive against 60% of Addons's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Filebar ships an update every 2 weeks, Addons every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
