# Lie / Truth Detector vs Lie Detector

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Lie Detector at 1.7K against Lie / Truth Detector's 306. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lie / Truth Detector sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Lie Detector sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Lie / Truth Detector against 3.9 for Lie Detector. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lie Detector has 1.7K ratings behind it against 306, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Lie / Truth Detector's written reviews are positive against 42% of Lie Detector's.

Lie / Truth Detector ships an update monthly, Lie Detector fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
