# GoodFic vs PopNovel

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PopNovel at 72% against GoodFic's 23%. PopNovel also leads on rating (4.5 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (139 vs 15). GoodFic's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GoodFic sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and PopNovel sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PopNovel holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PopNovel has 139 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of GoodFic's written reviews are positive against 72% of PopNovel's.

GoodFic ships an update weekly, PopNovel every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
