# TF STUDIO vs THE LEX | EFFECT

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: THE LEX | EFFECT at none against TF STUDIO's 7. TF STUDIO's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TF STUDIO sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. THE LEX | EFFECT asks for nothing beyond the download.

TF STUDIO holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TF STUDIO has 332 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of TF STUDIO's written reviews are positive against 100% of THE LEX | EFFECT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TF STUDIO ships an update every 2 months, THE LEX | EFFECT every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
