# Fileplay vs Groover

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fileplay at none against Groover's 3. Groover's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Groover sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Fileplay asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fileplay ships an update every 6 weeks, Groover every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
