# Mimic vs Kitty Q

The clearest difference is ads: Kitty Q at none against Mimic's shown. Kitty Q also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Mimic's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 400). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Mimic against 4.9 for Kitty Q. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mimic has 2.1K ratings behind it against 400, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Mimic's written reviews are positive against 91% of Kitty Q's.

Mimic ships an update weekly, Kitty Q every 13 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
