# caTTho vs popchord

The clearest difference is update cadence: popchord at every 3 months against caTTho's every 7 months. popchord also leads on iOS requirement (18.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. caTTho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and popchord sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

caTTho ships an update every 7 months, popchord every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
