# caTTho vs RiffTube

The clearest difference is ads: caTTho at none against RiffTube's shown. RiffTube's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. caTTho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RiffTube sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

caTTho ships an update every 7 months, RiffTube weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
