# RE vs Terra Core

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Terra Core at none against RE's 10. Terra Core also leads on rating (3.8 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (9 vs 2). RE's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 74%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RE sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Terra Core asks for nothing beyond the download.

Terra Core holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of RE's written reviews are positive against 74% of Terra Core's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RE ships an update every 5 weeks, Terra Core every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
