# Big Whiskey's vs OnlyPlates

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OnlyPlates at 83% against Big Whiskey's's 36%. Big Whiskey's's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 8) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Big Whiskey's holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Big Whiskey's has 1.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Big Whiskey's's written reviews are positive against 83% of OnlyPlates's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Big Whiskey's ships an update every 5 weeks, OnlyPlates every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
